Wren & Kiln is a fictional small-batch pottery studio, invented for a WooCommerce learning environment.
The story we made up
In our invented history, two friends met at a community clay class and kept going long after the course ended. They rented half of an old feed barn outside Kingston, bought a secondhand kiln, and spent a winter testing glazes until four of them were good enough to keep.
Most days start at the wheel and end with a ware board of mugs drying under plastic. A wren nests in the barn eaves every spring, which is where the name came from. Every piece is signed on the foot with a small stamped bird.
What is real here
- The store software: WordPress, WooCommerce and the Storefront theme, configured the way a small shop would.
- The mechanics: variations, stock levels, coupons, shipping rules, a fictional tax rate, order statuses and refunds all behave for real.
- Nothing else. The studio, products, reviews, customers and order history are invented sample data.
