Demo store: nothing on this page ever happens. No order ships and no payment is collected. The rules below are configured in WooCommerce so you can see how they behave in the cart and at checkout.
Where we ship
Shipping addresses in the United States only. Other destinations are switched off in the store settings, so they cannot be selected at checkout.
Shipping rates
- Standard shipping: a flat $8.00 per order.
- Free shipping: on orders of $75 or more. The $75 threshold is checked after coupon discounts and before tax.
- The Pottery Care Card is a download, so an order containing only the card needs no shipping.
How pottery is packed (in the story)
Each piece is wrapped in recycled paper, nested in a box with paper padding, and that box goes inside a second, larger one. It is the standard double-box method for ceramics.
Tax
Prices are shown without tax. A fictional 5% “training tax” applies to orders shipped to New York addresses, on both items and shipping. It is a calculation exercise only, not guidance for any real jurisdiction.
Returns (fictional policy)
In the story, unused pieces can be returned within 30 days, and anything that arrives broken is replaced or refunded from a photo of the damage. In the admin you can practice full and partial refunds on the sample orders.
